Poppies to remember Datchet’s fallen soldiers

posted in: News | 0

Did one of the soldiers on Datchet’s WWI memorial live in your road? As part of the 2018 centenary commemorations, Datchet Village Society put up poppies all around the village, in memory of the 66 soldiers, on lamp posts near the houses where they lived. Many of their homes still exist. You can find out more information in the DVS’s Memorial Trail Leaflet and Map. Pick up a copy at The Bridge, on The Green on Sunday, or download a copy here. The leaflets are free – all we ask is that you make a donation to the British Legion poppy fund.
