Many thanks to everyone who joined us for our members’ Christmas event where we displayed some fascinating old maps, paintings, photographs, and other items relating to Datchet, that Janet Kennish and the DVS have collected over the years. There was a historic sequence of maps, from the earliest to the modern day, showing how the village has grown and changed, with paintings and photographs providing additional context. There were also some interesting and surprising documents for everyone to browse through over a mince pie and a glass of wine or hot drink.
