If you’re not already a member, why not join us? Each year, there are talks, exhibitions, guided walks and visits to places of interest for members. The focus of activities is primarily on Datchet but also includes its locality and historical connections. There are also social events where you and your guests can join other members for a glass of wine, enjoy an illustrated talk by local historians, and learn more about DVS projects. Currently these include a project to help you find out about the history of your house; research on Datchet in WWI; and tree-ring dating some of the oldest houses in the village. Members also receive a regular newsletter with details of events and visits, conservation and development issues, and local projects you might like to be involved with.
