Datchet Village Society has recently launched a new leaflet ‘Datchet in the Great War 1914-1918 – A Memorial Trail’ to accompany a very special programme of guided walks. The leaflet contains information on the village’s three public WWI memorials as well as brief details of all the men whose names appear on the village green memorial. There is also a map showing where the service men lived and which of their houses still exist today.
The guided walks will tell longer stories about the men whose lives are briefly outlined in the leaflet. Further details of these walks will appear in the What’s On section of this website.
Where to find a leaflet
Any part of the trail can be explored independently using the leaflet. Copies are available in outlets around the village and on the guided walks or you can download a copy here: Datchet – A Memorial Trail.
