- 4 JULY 2021 Evelyn Ellis Journey The veteran cars hope to return to the village to mark the 125th+1 anniversary of the first recorded journey by a motorised carriage in the UK. This first journey was made on 5 July 1895 by pioneering automobilist, Evelyn Ellis, from Micheldever Station in Hampshire to his home at Rosenau, on Southlea Road, Datchet.
